Dock

What’s going on with all the metal iPhone charging docks lately? They seem to be the new “in” thing and now we have another one from Bracketron. The MetalDock (imaginative name) can be used in landscape or portrait modes, and has rubberized feet to hold the dock securely in place on your desk. From the [...]

Remember back when PDAs and iPods all came with a charging and syncing dock? These days all you get is a USB charging cable. Yes, I realize that a cable will get the job done, but they certainly lack in the decor department. If you’ve been wishing for a dock that will charge your iPhone [...]

The ODOC iPhone dock is another Kickstarter project.  The ODOC is made of aluminum, with glass inserts in the ends and stainless hardware.  This dock weighs 2.7 pounds, so it’s heavy enough to allow one-handed removal of the iPhone.  The ODOC accommodates most cases, and the cylinder acts as a passive amplifier for the iPhone’s [...]

Got your vinyl stored away in boxes somewhere?  Grab out the best (or worst) record and revive its sound (well kinda). London Designer Paul Cocksedge molds old 12″ records into a smartphone amplifier, working on the same principles as the gramaphones of old. Paul will be heating and molding old LP’s at an Exhibition called [...]

ZDocks great looking heavy charging docks for iPhones and iPods (I think they are sturdy enough that they will even work with an iPad). They are cast in solid zinc, weigh 400g / 14.1oz and have a smooth brushed finish. The universal connector sticks up out of the dock, so that you can attach the [...]

These wooden iPhone docking stations from woodtec are made of Cedar and are handcrafted from found wood. I’m not sure if the wood was found in a forest, or a store though Either way, they look really unique and are sure to be a conversation starter. Prices vary from $58-$82.
