Dock

elgato-thunderbolt-dock

If, like my husband, you have a laptop that you plug into a monitor, connect to WiFi, and maybe attach a couple of USB peripherals, you'll find connecting and disconnecting everything to be a pain.  At work, Butch plugs in a monitor, network, and a disk; when he needs to work from home, he only [...]

B_W_Zeppelin_Air_speaker

Bowers & Wilkins climbed on the Apple AirPlay wagon in 2011 with their wild and wonderful Zeppelin Air speaker (with dock connector). The following year, when Apple replaced the 30-pin connector with their proprietary Lightning connector, I thought B&W would go totally wireless with the next Zeppelin, as they had with the newer – but [...]

iPhone5-with-ipad-keyboard-01

So, got a new iPhone 5 but can't find a charging dock?  Bluetooth keyboards aren't your style?  Well, do you have an Apple iPad keyboard dock?  All you'll need is the Apple's $29 Lightning to 30-pin Adapter. I'm a dock kind of person.  It's a personal thing.  The lack of 3rd party accessories for the new [...]

rnd-sgs3-7

I've been busy finding useful accessories for my Samsung Galaxy S3. The first item I went searching for, was a protective cover. After trying three different ones, my favorite is the elago Breathe cover which helps protect the camera lens and adds grip without also adding a lot of bulk. The next item I looked [...]

Remember back when PDAs and iPods all came with a charging and syncing dock? These days all you get is a USB charging cable. Yes, I realize that a cable will get the job done, but they certainly lack in the decor department. If you've been wishing for a dock that will charge your iPhone [...]

The ODOC iPhone dock is another Kickstarter project.  The ODOC is made of aluminum, with glass inserts in the ends and stainless hardware.  This dock weighs 2.7 pounds, so it's heavy enough to allow one-handed removal of the iPhone.  The ODOC accommodates most cases, and the cylinder acts as a passive amplifier for the iPhone's [...]

Belkin-Thunderbolt-Express-Dock.jpg

Got a new Mac with the brand new Thunderbolt port but no accessories to connect to it?  The only accessories out now for the Thunderbolt port would be the $999 Apple Thunderbolt Display, a Thunderbolt to HDMI adaptor, or those pricey Thunderbolt External Hard Drives.  Don’t you just wish you could do more with that [...]

bionic_left

Way, way back in early January at CES 2011, Motorola's booth largely stole the show by featuring three massively exciting new products. While the DROID Bionic, a powerful Android smartphone headed for Verizon (hence the "DROID" moniker), was one of those products, it was largely overshadowed by the Atrix (an Android smartphone for AT&T that [...]

These wooden iPhone docking stations from woodtec are made of Cedar and are handcrafted from found wood. I'm not sure if the wood was found in a forest, or a store though ;) Either way, they look really unique and are sure to be a conversation starter. Prices vary from $58-$82.
