NEWS – Just two weeks ago we reported the news of a huge Anker power bank recall, and now there’s an unfortunate new one, this time with global reach, involving 5 more models of their power banks.
The fault lies with the supplier of the internal lithium batteries that Anker put into these devices and they’re doing the responsible thing by initiating the recall.

Apparently 3 of my 9 Anker banks are on this list. YAY.
My A1647 is joyously part of this recall. It has worked great so far and I like the USB C cable attached. So far it has not let the smoke out but, starting to work on the recall, I’m finding a challenge to produce an invoice from the purchase a couple of years ago. Really? The photo with the model and s/n shows possession…but I will try to push through it later this week.
