Mobius Boston 2006 Trip Report

Updated with Day 2
This year, Microsoft changed things up and decided to hold two Mobius events back to back. The first one was held in Thailand, and the second one here in the US. Typically, the events here in the US have always been held in Seattle, WA., near Microsoft’s Redmond headquarters. But this year they opted for Boston, MA. Lucky for me, I was invited to the Boston event. This meant a short 2hr flight, instead of 4-5 hours to Seattle.

Atwood Keychain Tools

I’ve always been fascinated by small tools. I guess it comes from being a little kid and watching my Dad work on things in the garage. I even had my own little toolbox that I kept under my bed. iCarta Stereo Dock for iPod with Bath Tissue Holder

The first time I ever saw a picture of the iCarta (from Atech Flash Technology), I thought it had to be a joke. Who would make an iPod speaker system that doubled as a toilet paper holder? Ok, I won’t go there…

GINI iTube & iConec iPod Speaker Bundle

Earlier this year, I reviewed the Audioengine 5 Speaker System and was totally blown away by the wonderful sound they produced. This was the first higher end iPod speaker system that I had the opportunity to review and I immediately understood that when it comes to speaker systems, you definitely get what you pay for. In the months that have followed the review, I have continued to enjoy the Audioengine’s. But you know me, I’m always on the look out for something better, so when GINI Systems sent me information regarding their vacuum tube based iTube and iConec iPod speaker bundle, I knew I had to test it out.

Keynamics AVIATOR Laptop Stand

Keeping your laptop computer elevated to a comfortable viewing angle and typing angle, while also allowing for good airflow, is the main features of a laptop stand. In the past several years, we’ve reviewed quite a few stands here at The Gadgeteer and now it’s time for another one. The AVIATOR stand from Keynamics is a simplified travel version of one of their stands that I reviewed 2 yrs ago.
