People reading this site are no doubt well aware of my love for all things iPod. I’ve been a fan for years now, and have eight of them (various models) strewn around my house in drawers and gear bags. Although I’ve tested many other brands of digital audio players, I always come back to the iPod as my favorite. Today I’m going to tell you about the Insignia NS-DV2G and NS-DA1G players from Best Buy. These are great alternatives… dare I say that they might even be a better choice than the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle!

I’m a sucker for IQ tests and ‘brain building’ programs, which considering that I am a major idiot (at least according to my very intelligent kids) is probably a waste of time. I’ve been searching for the perfect small bag that I can stow inside my everyday bag (right now that is a custom Bagaboo messenger bag) and then take with me when I go to lunch. My criteria has been a bag to carry my wallet, phone, a pen, sunglasses and a few other things as necessary. My quest has brought me to the Tom Bihn Cafe Bag.
I don’t normally talk a lot about PC or Mac computer software, but I wanted to mention a fun title that just crossed my path. It is an instructional program from iPlayMusic.com that can help you learn to play guitar and sing songs for your kids. The Play Music Together title is available for the
A couple of years ago, Julie did a review on the Anydrive Car MP3 and FM Modulator from Merconnet. In case you don’t remember, or never read the review, the device allowed you to plug in your USB flash memory storage apparatus and wirelessly broadcast the output to a FM radio.

Every year, there are a handful of toys that end up on the holiday gift wish lists of kids all over the country. I can remember 5 years ago when it was the Bit Char-G / Microsizer tiny remote controlled cars. Even my Dad stood in line at Radio Shack to get one (for himself!). This year one of the popular toys is again a remote controlled device. But this time it is not a car… it’s a tiny helicopter called the PicooZ.
