Crowdsourced product development site Quirky has just made its fresh-out-of-development Cloak iPad case available for presale orders.
The site describes the Cloak as being made of non-slip rubber, and features a hinged protectived cover. The case also doubles as a stand for the iPad that works in both portrait and landscape orientations.
If you aren’t familiar with how Quirky works, it’s important to realize that the Cloak doesn’t actually exist yet, and in fact may change somewhat by the time the first production models roll off the line. In exchange for their early commitment, presale buyers get a discounted price (USD 36.00 instead of the USD 42.00 that it will cost eventually), and free shipping.

This is what I’ve been waiting to see. Sounds like the perfect case. I really like the wooden one you showed, except that it has no cover and no shock-absorbancy.
I actually like the sleeve that Apple sells. It looks like that I can use it like a wedge to type on the iPad on a comfortable angle.
