Even though the name would indicate it’s for an Apple product only, the iCookbook app is also available for Android, Windows 8, and Web OS platforms.  iCookbook is an award-winning app with more than 2000 recipes using “easy-to-find ingredients, and that have been kitchen-tested and feature beautiful full-color photos.”  It also offers substitution charts, timers, grocery lists, and how-to videos.  The app is voice-controlled, meaning you can speak commands to “move to the next step, manage timers, view notes, and more.“  You won’t have to constantly stop what you’re doing to wash your hands before you can check the recipe on your device’s screen.  The app is $9.99, but it’s available for only $4.99 for the Apple iOS and Web OS platforms.  Check the iCookpage page for links to the various app stores.
