Apple iPod Nano (2nd Generation)

The Apple iPod nano has received an extreme
makeover. Not that it really needed one though… The
1st generation iPod
nano
which was released approximately 1 year before the 2nd gen nano, looked
like a baby version of the full sized player. This new version looks more like
an anorexic version of the discontinued iPod mini. Are the changes all cosmetic,
are are there some other new bits under the hood of this very popular DAP
(digital audio player)? Let’s take a closer look.

Bluetake BT400GL Bluetooth Headset

I want to start out by saying that I typically do not use a Bluetooth headset all that often. I’m not one of those people that you see in the grocery store walking around with a blinking plastic blob hanging out of their ear. The only time I really use a headset is when I’m driving to and from my day job. The headset that I’ve been using for awhile now has been the Cardo Systems scala-500. I’ve found this headset to be both comfortable to wear and easy to use. A few weeks ago, Bluetake approached me to see if I might like to test the BT400GL.

Sena Cases LeatherSkin Case for Treo 680

I have owned almost every wireless-capable Palm/Treo since the days of
the Vx and Omnisky. The routine is always the same, quick, buy the
newest Palm Phone when it comes out, laugh at everyone else who can’t
buy one because they are sold out, and then spend the next few weeks
deciding if it needs a case and what case to buy.

Moixa USBCell Rechargeable Batteries

Until our toys, gadgets and electronic thinga-majigs can be powered by magic fairy dust, we’ll continue to be slaves to batteries. I’m sure most of us have been in a situation where one of our favorite devices ran out of juice. It seems like every time this happens, a battery charger is no where to be found. What if you could remove the battery from your device, pull off one end and stick it into a USB port to charge? Sounds farfetched doesn’t it? Well guess again, because Moixa Energy is bringing you the USBCell.

Samsung SGH-i320 Windows Mobile Smartphone

I am simply amazed at how cell phones have evolved from the “portable” bag phone to today’s vast selection of featured laden mobile phones. Built in cameras, music players, text messaging and voice dialing are just some of the options available in mix and match feature laden phones. Add to the mix WiFi and Bluetooth, push email, robust calendar and contact management with Internet access plus a large catalog of third party software makes today’s smartphone a compelling reason to leave the laptop at home.

iHome iH5 Clock Radio

I don’t think I am wrong when I make the claim that the Apple iPod has generated more accessories than any other electronic device on the market today. There’s always room for one more iPod accessory right? Today I’m going to review the iHome iH5. This is a clock radio compatible with all iPods that have a docking connector. Hey, you you don’t even need an iPod to use this device. It’s a lot more fun if you do though.

Vsnotepad – Windows Mobile Utility

In my opinion, this is one of those applications for which all PocketPC and Windows Mobile OS devices are specifically made for…taking notes on the spot! There is nothing more natural to me than to use these devices for such purposes and yet the basic Microsoft notepad is still lacking. I think the proof is in the dozens of notepad replacement products on the market today with each one having their own unique spin on how one takes notes. Vsnotepad from Virtual Spaghetti has its own simple philosophy on note-taking and may just be a worthy contender in this software category.
