Do you prefer flashlights that can use regular old Alkaline batteries instead of special lithium cells that are expensive and hard to find? Me too. That’s why I was more than happy to test the LD20 from Fenix.

If you’ve been shopping for a good LED flashlight, you’ve probably realized how expensive some brands are. Not everyone can afford to spend 100’s of dollars on a flashlight and even if they could afford it, they might not want to. Duracell, the same folks that bring you the copper top battery, have introduced a new LED flashlight called the Daylite. Priced less than $35, let’s see if it’s worthy…

I always enjoy receiving flashlights from Discount LED Lights & Knives to review. They sell the German made LED Lenser products, which are extremely nice. One of the latest LED Lenser flashlights in the new HP (High Performance) line that has come on the market is the P7. This light is unique in that it has a focusable lens and is super bright.

I live in a rural area that seems to have power issues on a semi-regular basis. Either during storms or even on a perfectly nice day,
there will be at least a couple times a month when the power will go out. Most of the time it is a fast down / up sort of thing, but
then there are times when it will stay down for a couple of hours at a time. It’s typically not a big deal during daylight hours, but
nine times out of ten, it will happen at night. During those times, it’s always a crap shoot if I can find a flashlight that is charged
and ready to go. Now I don’t have to worry about the status of my flashlight battery, because I have the LifeLight Mega-Function Lantern
from LifeGear.

Most gear heads probably already have an LED flashlight (or two) at the bottom of their gear bag or stashed in a desk drawer. They are handy tools that we all need to use every now and then, but for the most part, they aren’t all that exciting… The Tri-L LED flashlight from AltusLumen that I’m going to show you today though, has a couple of great features that I think will impress you.

I have reviewed several very well made LED flashlights from Surefire and Brite-Strike. The WorkStar 440 by Maxxeon falls into the same vein of high quality, LED flashlights but with one significant difference, a 10 inch flexible neck that the LED head is attached to.

The Kroma and U2 Ultra are both exceptionally well designed and constructed
LED flashlights made by SureFire. Overall their basic form, function, and technologies are the same. Both are small enough to carry in your computer bag, backpack, purse, or coat pocket. And while they are not really a tech-toy, they certainly qualify as a well crafted piece of equipment.

The Protector Series Tactical Illumination Tool by Brite-Strike is a small, well
made flashlight. The Protector-1C is the smaller of the two flashlights within
the Protector series and is ideal for carrying in your computer bag, purse,
or coat pocket. And even though it’s not really a tech-toy, its pretty cool none the less.

We accessorize our homes, cars, PDAs and even ourselves. So it should not seem unusual to accessorize our water bottles.
