The iFusion Smartstation Dock for iPhone connects to your iPhone with Bluetooth and turns it into a desk phone or a full-duplex speakerphone. It’s compatible with iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, and 4S, and the integrated 30-pin connector charges your iPhone. Connect the iFusion to a PC or Mac via USB, and you can sync your iPhone, and there’s even an audio line-out so you can listen to your music through external speakers. You can even use the iFusion at home or work; it is compatible with iPhone PBX apps, such as Cisco Mobile 8.1, Avaya one-X Mobile, and MaxMobile for Microsoft Lync. The iFusion is available in black or white for $179.99

Remind me (or more importantly my wife) why I need a hard line again?
This is basically a fancy handset for your iPhone.
There’s lots of reasons to use this. Holding a traditional handset is, for me at least, much more comfortable than holding a cell phone. Also, many people believe that cell phone radiation is hazardous to your health, and this gets the phone away from your head.
A work colleague and I were discussing these last week. These could be really useful in business so rather than each employee having an expensive desk bound phone and expensive iPhone, you can just have the docking station and iPhone. Because of it’s integration into systems like Microsoft Lync, VOIP and PSTN you can end up with a fully manageable “unified mobile convergence device.” Oh and there is an Android version as well 🙂
hi there,
