Former Writer Team
The Gadgeteer has been fortunate to have an incredible community of writers over the years. We want to start by giving a very special thank you to Julie Strietelmeier, who founded this site in 1997 and dedicated 29 years of her life to building it into the trusted resource it became. None of this would exist without her vision, hard work, and genuine love of gadgets. Thank you, Julie, for everything.
We also want to thank every writer who contributed their time, knowledge, and enthusiasm to this site. The talented individuals below have each moved on, but their work helped shape what The Gadgeteer is today. We are grateful for every review, every article, and every bit of energy they brought to this community. We wish all of them nothing but the best going forward.
Founded 1/97
Julie is the original Gadgeteer who created this site and ran it for 28 years. She has been (and still is) obsessed with gadgets and gizmos since she was a little kid. This is a fact that can be proven by looking at a note written by a teacher on the bottom of one of my grade school report cards. “…Julie continues to bring little toys and things to school to trade with the boys…”. Her other interests include EDC, ukuleles, reading, and journaling.
