Pantech C810 Duo in the house

The folks at AT&T sent me the Pantech Duo (C810) to review. This is a small Windows Mobile 6 smartphone with a dual slider.

The face slides up to reveal a dialing keypad...

Slide the face to the right and it reveals a QWERTY keyboard. Pretty cool for a device that is 4.02 x 1.97 x 0.83 inches, which is very pocketable.

I've been using the Nokia E61i for a few weeks now and this phone feels tiny in comparison. I'm even able to sync it to my iMac / Leopard using the latest version of MissingSync from MarkSpace. It's been awhile since I used a Windows Mobile phone and it's feeling kinda nice. Review to follow soonish.

I read it felt flimsy compared to other slider phones...interested to see if it passes the creak test.

I wouldn't say it feels flimsy. It feels plasticy <- if that were a word... As for the creak test, you'll have to just wait and see ;o)

When is the E61i review coming?

I am being offered a choice between an E61i and a Palm Treo from work in January and I'd appreciate your opinion. I have a Nokia N95 as my personal phone so I'm quite familiar with Symbian but I don't know which of the two is better as a phone (probably Nokia), an organiser (probably Palm), and an emailer (???).

Great, I'll look out for it.

By the way, i just bought a bundle of S60 Software from Epocware. 11 apps for a bundle price of $50! If there's anything specially good i'll try and write a short review for you.
