Keep Your ID in a Backside Wallet

Most wallet cases for smartphones tend to add a lot of bulk to the phone.  Sure, you have your driver’s license and debit card always with you, but your phone no longer fits in your pocket.  You won’t have that problem with the Backside Wallet.  The Backside is a slim, high-quality vinyl sleeve that adheres to the back of your iPhone, Android phone, or Blackberry, or their protective cases.  The Backside uses a strong adhesive to prevent loss of your important cards, but the makers say the wallet can be removed.  (They also say since they don’t know the condition of your phone before you put the wallet in place, they aren’t responsible for any damages from the removal.)  The Backside is big enough to hold two cards, and it’s short enough that it doesn’t interfere with the back camera.  The Backside Wallet is available only in black and is $6.99 for one or $13.98 for three.  If you’d like to give them as customer gifts, they can be customized with your information.

question is – how safe is it to put cards with magnet-strip on the back of the phone?

Usually cell phones will erase or scramble that data

@Tony – yes, perfectly safe. I have a case [CaseMate?] which holds 2 credit cards on the back of my iPhone 3GS – never had a problem.

In over 10 years of mobile phone use, I’ve regularly kept crdit cards and phone in the same pocket with no issue. I think cards are more robust than people give them credit for [pardon the pun...]
