I recently reviewed the Epson iPrint iOS app that let me print and scan directly from my iPad and iPhone. Epson just announced that they have an Android version of Epson iPrint. You’ll be able to print files or photos directly from your Android device to any compatible Epson printers on the network. You’ll also be able to connect to and print from cloud services like Box.net, Evernote, and Dropbox, or you can use the built-in browser to surf to and print web pages. Just like with the app I reviewed, you’ll be able to scan files directly to your device, and you’ll be able to share the files. Android users will also be able to monitor ink levels and printer status, and they’ll be able to change printer setup directly from their device. The Epson iPrint app is free in the Android Market. It’s compatible with Android 2.1 and later. See the press release (after the jump) for a list of compatible printers.
