Added to the substances contained by the electronics of the gadget = catastrophe .
The best thing to do is to take a whistle kettle or electric kettle made entirely of stainless steel and pour the boiling water over the food to be cooked, I think.
John, the site says it’s FDA approved food grade safe. Not sure if that equals BPA-free.
