This week I feature two Kickstarter and two Indiegogo crowdfunding campaigns that I think are interesting or downright weird. Click through to see this week’s collection of notable crowdfunding campaigns.
Beoncam: The 1st Ever Removable 360 Wrist Camera
What is it?
The Beoncam is a wearable 5MP camera that can take 360-degree images and video from your wrist.
Why do I like it?
I like the Beoncam because it’s always on and ready to shoot an image or capture video without having to wait for it or an app to boot up. The wearable also functions as a watch and it is splashproof so you can capture video and images in the rain. An optional waterproof case can be purchased for $19 if you want to go swimming with it.
The camera pairs with an app on your phone to live stream or share images and video with friends.
Where can I find more info?
With 25 days left in their campaign, The Beoncam campaign has already met their funding goal of $30,000. You can pre-order a Beoncam starting at $119. After the Beoncam campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in July 2017. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.
Erling – The first jewelry for Apple Airpods
What is it?
The Erling is a piece of magnetic jewelry that doubles as a holder for your Apple wireless Airpods. No, I’m not kidding. It comes in silver or gold and has a distinctly feminine design. That’s not to say that guys might not want one too…
Why do I like it?
I like the Erling because it’s weird. Honestly, I wouldn’t actually wear this product, but I couldn’t help but want to tell you about it because I know there are people out there that might think it’s cool.
Where can I find more info?
With 24 days left in their campaign, The Erling campaign has work to do before they will be able to ready their funding goal of $7,500. You can pre-order an Erling starting at $55. After the Erling campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in April 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
Clarity: Alexa & Android Touchscreen Smart Speaker
What is it?
The Clarity is a portable Bluetooth speaker that can be controlled with your voice or through the built-in touch screen display.
Why do I like it?
I like the Clarity because it is powered by Android (only v5.1 though) and also has Amazon’s Alexa built in. You can use it as a speaker to listen to streaming music from your favorite services like Pandora or Spotify. Or music stored on a micro SD card. You can also watch movies through the built-in 7″ display.

With 25 days left in their campaign, The Clarity campaign has work to do before they will be able to ready their funding goal of $50,000. You can pre-order a Clarity starting at $119. After the Clarity campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in June 2017. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.
Mondo+
What is it?
The Mondo+ from Grace Digital is an internet radio with access to over 30,000 radio station from around the world and it also has Chromecast built-in.
Why do I like it?
I like the Mondo+ because it can work with Google Home. You can say “Ok Google, play Bruno Mars to Mondo” and if you change the name of the speaker you can say something like “Ok Google, play Jake Shimabukuro on my kitchen speaker.”
With the built-in Chromecast, you can stream your favorite music, radio, or podcasts from your mobile device to the Mondo+.
The Mondo+ can also be used as a clock radio.

With 25 days left in their campaign, The Mondo+ campaign still has work to do to reach their funding goal of $50,000. You can pre-order a Mondo+ starting at $150. After the Mondo+ campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in April 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
