I’ve yet to watch a 3D movie (I don’t count The Creature from the Black Lagoon which I saw a bazillion years ago with the Red and Blue cardboard glasses). I wanted to go see Avatar, but thought the 3D glasses at the theater probably would not fit over my prescription glasses. That’s why I was excited when I heard that the famous sunglasses maker Oakleyis offering the first optically correct 3D glasses. Their 3D GASCAN glasses offer superior visual clarity that virtually eliminates image ghosting, truer color perception, extended peripheral viewing angle, truer alignment of 3D images and improved comfort. Sounds great… but then I discovered that “optically correct” isn’t the same thing as “prescription correction”. Drats for me. But at $120, these glasses sound like a worthy upgrade for the 3D movie aficionado.
