Design and features

Each light is kind of like a flower that has a stem and a flower head at the top. The flower head of the Linkind Smart Solar Pathway Light is made up of several parts. The brain of this lamp has a large solar panel on top.

On the other side are the LEDs. There are four of them. Each LED is recessed so that you can install a lens cover.

Each lamp comes with five different covers (I only show four here) that have a different design.

The idea is that you install the same exact lens covers in the same order on each lamp head. Also, notice that there’s a USB-C port and a power button. You can charge up the lamp’s built-in battery using a USB cable (not included) just to give it its initial charge. I skipped this step. The power button is used to activate the lamp and for pairing to the AiDot app. You’ll want to set up the pairing with the AiDot app before you do the final assembly of the lamp shade and place the lights in your yard.

With the lens covers installed, you can then press the solar panel into the lampshade.

And then you can attach the ground stake, which is made up of three sections that press together. The whole installation/setup takes a minute or two.

The hardest part might be figuring out where to put the lights.

As you can see, I put them next to a sidewalk.

I probably should have moved that hose before taking the picture, but you know how it goes…

AiDot App

As mentioned earlier, you’ll definitely need to install the AiDot app on your phone/tablet and pair each light with the app before you put the lights in your yard. That’s because you need to do a long press on the power button to turn on each lamp and connect to the app via Bluetooth.

The app allows you to set colors and patterns for the lamps as a group or individually. There are quite a few premade patterns available that are great for easy light decorations for holidays and seasons. I can’t wait to use these lights for Halloween, Christmas, etc.

Performance

I think the lights look amazing and they light up all night long (6-7 hours for me so far) after a full day of sunlight. The lens covers create amazing effects on the sidewalk. It looks like a kaleidoscope of color.

Final thoughts

linkind solar pathway 1

The Linkind Smart Solar Pathway Lights check all the boxes for me. They’re easy to install, charge themselves with sunlight, and add a big splash of personality to my yard with customizable colors and patterns. I’ve tested a lot of solar lights over the years, but these feel more like mini light shows than simple pathway markers. With holiday-ready themes built into the app, they’ll be fun to use year-round. At $129.99 for a pack of four, they’re an investment, but if you’re looking for something that combines style, smart features, and solid performance, these are absolutely worth it.

What I like about the Linkind Smart Solar Pathway Lights
