NEWS – The Craighill Rope Split Ring has updated the lowly split ring keyring. Unlike ordinary split keyrings that can be a real pain in the you-know-what to open and close, this new design features an extended flange that allows for easy access. No more struggling with your keys or risking damage to your fingernails (a video showing it in action is below)! The Rope Split Ring is available in 3 colors and is priced at $38. What do you think? Does it deserve a spot in your EDC? More info at Craighill.com.

I’d buy a dozen today if they sold just the ring!
You could cut the rope and remove the ring in order to just use the ring? Yes, I guess then it would be $45.90 grand total (that’s with shipping and tax to California), which is way too high for just a ring. (Arguably, that’s even too high for the whole thing for those that do want to use the rope with the ring.)
Save your money. Don’t buy any. I absolutely am disappointed with this keyring. I bought one because the video makes it look so easy to get the keys on. But what they do not tell you is that getting the keys off is not. There is a tiny piece sticking out that you must squeeze your fingernail onto and then apply pressure to lift up. My nail became a bit jagged, and it was in no way easy and smooth to get the keys off. Getting the keys on does not require you to use your fingernail to put the keys on, but my gosh I expected getting the keys off would work the exact same way. I am sorry I took the gamble and bought this, and do not recommend this keyring at all to anyone that would need to take the keys off, especially considering it is so expensive. I truly expected a much easier experience.
