REVIEW – I love my cat, but scooping poop is not on my favorite activities list. I’ve owned several automated litterboxes to help facilitate the feces and love Leo’s Loo Too! C’mon, fellow Gadgeteer. Let’s have a look!

Casa Leo Leo’s Loo Too is a Wi-Fi-connected automated device that empties soiled clumping kitty litter using a rotating drum into a disposable bag in the base.

Design and features
Ooh! That’s a big box!
Contents are well protected. There are plastic bags to protect from moisture and dust and sturdy cardboard corners.
Instructions show how to unpack by inverting the box. The body of the Leo’s Loo Too automatic cat litter box feels very solid. It looks like Kitty’s personal “Fortress of Solitude!” Trim colors are available in “Leo Grey, Avacado Green, Baby Blue,” and “Pretty Pink.”
The top pops off and the entire drum assembly can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

The power supply is 12 volts at 2000mA. The cord is covered in a nylon braid to discourage your kitty or other furry housemates from nibbling.

There’s not much needed to ready the Leo’s Loo Too automatic cat litter box for use. Use one of the included bags to line the waste litter drawer. Additional bags are available here.
The Leo’s Loo Too automatic cat litter bin’s base is made of a flexible material. Fill it with your favorite clumping litter. The Loo holds 1.5 gallons (6 liters) which both I and my cat, Mini, found to be ample.
An app-connected litterbox?! Nay, nay, treasured Gadgeteer! Do not be daunted by the guffaws of the technologically disinclined! Seriously, it’s an outstanding feature! My wife and I travel and it’s wonderful to not need to bother a friend or family member to clean the box until the bag is full. Smarty Pear recommends emptying at least once a week. and cleaning once a month A QR code in the manual opens a dandy instructional video that walks through registering an account and pairing the Leo’s Loo Too.
Adding a new Loo is done by clicking the “+” in the upper right corner.

Selecting the device opens the main control page. The Loo can be turned on and off, UV sterilization activated and deactivated, settings accessed, and manually trigger a cleaning cycle. The bottom of the page shows a log of activities.
The weight sensors are integrated into the base and require the Loo to be placed on a solid surface. The measurement might not work properly on carpets or squishy places. The log page shows the cat’s weight.
The settings page configures how the system operates. Multiple rotations, automatic (triggered by the cat weight sensors in the base) or timed operation, a delay after Kitty uses the Leo’s Loo Too automatic cat litter box, Sleep Mode (if there are times when you want to avoid automatic operation), button backlighting, UV sterilization timing, and weight units (pounds or kilograms) can all be adjusted. There’s even a reminder to replace the filter and litter every 30 days. Slick!
I usually buy litter in a large box from my local wholesale club and found it was too big to tip into the drum. I’ll need to start buying litter in smaller containers or get a scoop to prevent spilling it on the floor. Whenever litter is added, the system needs to be reset, presumably to recalibrate the weight sensors. Holding the button for two seconds sends the Loo tumbling.
My preferred operating mode is automatic – the Leo’s Loo Too automatic cat litter box detects Kitty has paid a visit and after a delay the drum cycles. As it’s rotating, a grate separates solids and clumped litter and dumps it through a chute into the waste bin. Litter that hasn’t been… soiled… passes freely through the grate and passes out the other side to be redeposited when the cycle is complete.
The system works remarkably well. After multiple uses, it was abundantly clear that the odor typical of static litterboxes is substantially reduced, even when opening the drawer. That charcoal filter works!
Waste is deposited into a bag in the drawer. When it’s full, the system sends a message that the bag needs changing. Just open the lid, close the bag, toss it, and put in a new one. It takes seconds.
My cat has never experienced anxiety about using new accommodations. As soon as I assembled Leo’s Loo Too automatic cat litter box, she was very curious and had no problems adjusting, using it within a few hours Operation is very quiet and I doubt it would be problematic unless your cat is especially neurotic. Mini is a casual cat!
To further aid in keeping the area clean, Smarty Pear included a litter mat. It’s designed so that any litter that sticks to Kitty’s paws or fur falls through the upper mesh layer onto the lower.
The mesh opens so wayward granules can be easily discarded. I love this!
Smarty Pear also sent a cute laser toy.
Pressing the belly of the cat-shaped turns it on and off with a tactile click.
A knob on the bottom rotates a lens that has different patterns (star, mouse, smiley face, butterfly, and dot)
It’s rechargeable via USB-C. A very cool USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included. It clips together at the ends to form a beaded bracelet. Very zen.
My cat is about 16 years old and is far past the playful kitten stage, but she was still interested and chasing the light beam within seconds. Fun!
