CROWDFUNDING REVIEW – Even though I brush my teeth twice a day and floss regularly, I still have problems with build-up behind my lower front teeth due to how they are crowded. This is my trouble spot and where the hygienist always spends the most time torturing, I mean cleaning. That is until I switched to an electric toothbrush when things got a lot easier. And things might get even better now that I’ve started using the SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and electric water flosser.
What is it?
The SOOCAS Neos is an electric toothbrush and electric water flosser all in one device.
What’s in the box?
- SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and water flosser
- Wireless charging base
- 4 brushes
- Cleaning brush
- Waterproof pouch
Design and features
At first glance, the SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and electric water flosser looks like an oversized electric toothbrush.
It’s made of smooth white plastic with a large motor shaft extending from the top for the brush head.
There’s a row of control buttons and status LEDs. The top button is the deep cleaning mode button that starts and stops a regular brushing session. The round button is the quick cleaning mode button which starts and stops a quick 30-50 second combo brushing and flossing session. The small yellow button is the intensity control button that allows you to cycle between gentle, standard, and strong intensities.
On the back of the handle, you’ll find the water tank cover.
It opens and closes for easy filling of regular tap water.
There’s also a detachable cover at the bottom that you can remove when you want to rinse and clean the water reservoir (there’s a handy cleaning brush included in the SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and electric water flosser package for this task.
Also included with the SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and electric water flosser are two brush heads that have color-fading blue bristles to help you know when you need to replace the brush.
The brush heads have a little spout that sticks out of the brush. This is where the water sprays from for the water flossing feature. As you can see in the image above, the spout sticks out from the brush head. For obvious reasons, the height of the spout is not as high as the brush bristles, but it is tall enough that I did notice it banging against my teeth as I brushed. I think this has to do with the fact that the brush bristles are softer than what I’m used to. I think this issue could be solved with slightly stiffer bristles.
Brushing with the SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and electric water flosser feels just like electric toothbrushes. This one even pulses every 30 seconds to help you know when to move to a different area of your mouth for a typical 2 minute brushing session. The instructions advise you to brush first and then do a quick brushing/flossing session (yellow button).
But where the SOOCAS Neos 2-in-1 electric toothbrush and electric water flosser shines is the fact that it’s a 2-in-1 device. It saves space in your medicine cabinet and it saves time while performing your daily dental hygiene activities.
What I like
- 2-in-1 device
- Easy to use
- Comes with an extra toothbrush head
What I’d change
- Improve the brush heads with slightly stiffer bristles
