CROWDFUNDED NEWS – Another robot vac, who cares right? Not this time friends. I’m going to tell you about the HaierTab Tabot robot vac which different in three important ways from all other robot vacs that are currently on the market.
What is it?
The HaierTab Tabot is a robot vacuum that rolls around your house sucking up dirt. In that way, the HaierTab Tabot is just like countless other robot vacuums on the market. But hidden under the hood and in the brush are two surprises. Hey Julie, you said that there are three important ways this robot vac is different than others and you have only mentioned two. What’s the other one? Relax, we’ll get to it in a sec.
Why do I like it?
Surprise #1 is something you wouldn’t have guessed would be hidden under the hood of the HaierTab Tabot robot vac. What is it? It’s a lift out cordless hand vacuum that you can use to clean hard to get places where the HaierTab Tabot robot vac can’t go like your couch cushions and behind doors.
To use the hand vac, you just lift the cover off the top of the Tabot, press the release button, and lift it out. A crevice tool that stores in the charging dock snaps into the dock and you’re ready to clean. The cool thing is that Haier designed the Tabot so that the hand vac uses the same dirt bin as the main vacuum. That means that you can do some extra cleaning with the hand vac after a robot vac session and before you empty the dirt bin in the trash to get ready for the next scheduled robot cleaning.
Surprise #2 is the genius design of the main vacuum’s brush. From the image above, the Haier’s roller brush doesn’t look much different than all the other robot vac brushes you’ve probably seen, but take a closer look at the image above and you can see a row of shiny silver “teeth” above and below the brush.
These special teeth slide against each other to break the strands of long human and pet hair to prevent the strands from wrapping around the brush and clogging the bristles. I have a long-haired cat and I’m constantly cleaning the roller brushes on my existing robot vacs because his hair gets wound around the brushes. With the Tabot, I wouldn’t have to worry about that anymore.
Surprise #3 has to do with the vac’s mopping function. All of the robot vacuums that I’ve reviewed in the past only allow you to fill the reservoir with plain water, and no soap or any type of cleaner. With the HaierTab Tabot, you can add some sanitizer or cleaning solution into the water in the tank which means that the robot vac will not only dust while it mops, but it can kill bacteria and viruses that may collect on your flooring.
Where can I find more info?

That ‘build a trimmer into the roller bar’ is one of those ‘so brilliantly simple you wonder it’s never been thought of before’ ideas. I hope they license the patent out to non-robotic vacuum makers.
My daughters (with black hair) used to blame the dog (with black fur) for clogging up our Roomba. Now that we have a white dog, it is apparent who is clogging up the Roomba with black hair.
