The new Acer TA272 HUL is an All-in-One device with a 27 inch WQHD 2560 x 1440 high resolution, wide-viewing angle, 10-point capacitive touch display that is four times sharper than HD. Although Acer is better known for their Windows based PCs, laptops, and Chromebooks, Android devices are not exactly a new thing for this company who has been selling 7 – 8 inch Iconia Android tablets for quite some time. The Acer TA272 is an obvious departure from a small handheld tablet though. I mean come on, a 27″ Android device? Wow. Under the hood, the TA272 features a NVIDIA Tegra quad-core processor, 16G internal memory, dual-band 802.11 abgn wireless, USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, two front-facing Dolby surround sound speakers, a 2MP webcam and Android OS 4.2 Jellybean. I can see this device as an alternative to a regular HDTV. I wouldn’t mind one myself… if it came in a 55 inch version and I was Oprah rich 🙂
The Acer TA272 HUL all-in-one is already shipping worldwide with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$1,099. See www.acer.com for more info.

Can I buy a case with a belt hook for the thing? LOL!!
Seriously, since I can link my cell phone screen to my larger HDTV, I really do not see much use for this. If they are at CES, I will check it out however.
