If you can’t find an open USB port on your computer for your Hello Kitty Flash Drive, you might consider this 16 port USB hub from Brando. It has a geeky industrial design that allows you to see the circuit board and components. Unfortunately it’s not a USB 3.0 hub, but it is powered and includes an AC adapter. It’s priced at $72.00 which ends up being $4.50 per port.

the upside to this, is I now have use for the drawer full of 16mb-256mb thumb-drives I have. USB RAID!
Will it charge an iPad?
I’d bet a donut, NO. The iPad issue is not an amp only issue, it’s a some fiddling with the resistance on the Data line as well. Something a USB hub won’t/can’t do, and still function as a HUB.
