Recently, we told you about the Pet’s Eye View digital camera you could attach to your pet’s collar so you could see what he does while you’re out. Now, here’s some information about how you can get your dog online and tweeting. Mattel has announced Puppy Tweets, a plastic tag that will attach to your dog’s collar, will be available in the fall for about $30. It will use sound and motion detectors and a series of pre-defined tweets, combined with a USB receiver connected to your computer, to give you an idea of what your dog is doing. If he’s barking and leaping around, he will tweet about “getting his bark on”, for example. Obviously Mattel is marketing this one to the parents instead of the (four-legged) kids. Okay, this whole Tweeting thing has gotten way out of hand.
On the internet, nobody knows you ‘re a dog.
I like the idea of the camera on the collar better anyway. With just the generic tweets, the dog might try to convince you he was fighting with intruders who ripped up the couch, dug a hole in the plaster, and emptied the garbage can all over the kitchen while he was tweeting that he was “getting his bark on”. 🙂
