J&R is offering the official Flip Cover for the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone in two colors. The cover replaces the phone’s battery cover with a hard plastic shell, and there’s a soft plastic and felt cover that folds around to protect the screen. The cover folds back out of the way when you want to access the phone. J&R has it in turquoise or pink (backordered) for $39.99. Amazon also has the Flip Case in a variety of colors, with prices ranging from about $19 to about $32.

I have one of these and don’t care for it. The cover interferes with holding the phone securely when it’s folded around back since it’s wider than the edges of the phone. So rather than “folding out of the way” it’s actually more in the way when folded.
