Cardstick – A Ruler for your Wallet that Requires Zero Space

This is one of those “why didn’t I think of that…” ideas. The Cardstick is a set of 3 vinyl stickers that you can wrap around the edge of one of your existing credit cards. The stickers do not interfere with the normal operation (swiping) of your card and will provide a 3 inch ruler for those times when you need to measure something. A set of 3 stickers is only $3.99

I need a yard stick like that. Thought what in the world would I stick it to!

@David you could stick it to a 3 foot long piece of wood. Oh wait… ;)

A dollar bill is just a little over 6 inches and hopefully I always have at least one in my wallet. I have used this method a few times over the years.

Need a longer one?

I once saw a similar item which had a cloth ruler sewn on the inside of a belt. It was in Asia – maybe Thailand, I just don’t recall – and was in metric, not inches. Likely could have a shoe repair shop make one up if you give them a cloth ruler and a woven cloth belt.

Neat idea. I wonder why the metric one is written backwards ?

Julie did a news item about a combination simple pocket knife and ruler from Garrett Wade a couple of years ago. It’s still available – I saw it in the paper catalog I received yesterday!

@Michael
Because the people using metric live on the other side of the world

Ah it’s not backwards it’s upside down for us downunder people. Excellent :-)
