ViewSonic takes on small-format computing with VOT132 PC mini

viewsonic-vot132ViewSonic has expanded into the small-format PC market with the VOT132 PC mini. Weighing in at just over a pound, this tiny computer offers real performance in a miniature package with Win 7 OS, Intel(r) Atom(tm) 330 processor, latest NVIDIA(r) ION GPU, built-in Wi-Fi and 2GB internal memory and an optional attachable CD/DVD drive. The VOT132 uses up to 80% less energy and up to 45% less plastic than traditional tower PCs. The VOT132 (MSRP $499) will be available 10/22 and the VDD100 Super Multi drive (MSRP $99) will be available in November.

Yes, it most definitely has! If your OS installation can take advantage of the hardware acceleration in the NVIDIA ION, you can decode 1080p video with very low CPU load. See for example:

May I suggest to take a close look at XBMC
http://xbmc.org/
if you want a good media center. It absolutely ROCKS! Trust me.
