What would be nice is (and I believe this has already been done) is a mic with a 30 pin connector for the bottom port. Then you could use truphone, or skype on the iphone for VOIP 🙂

Want to see something MUCH cooler. Check out an iPhone app called Poddio, at http://www.vericorder.com. It doesn’t just record. It lets you edit your sound. I made a live concert album in five minutes. It’s $10 right now on the app store.
