REVIEW – After a long day of testing and writing about gadgets (hey, someone has to do it!), I sometimes have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. The thing is that I don’t like to have someone rub my neck, because I always feel like they do it too hard, and I’m a wimp. When I received an offer to review the Bob and Brad iNeck Pro massager, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or not, but I said yes, and here’s what I think.

What is it?
The Bob and Brad iNeck Pro is a rechargeable neck and shoulder massager.

Design and features
The Bob and Brad iNeck Pro has a stitched leatherette cover with a panel on the side with three buttons, a USB-C charging port and charging status LED.
The other side of the massager has the massaging “fingers” and an Ironman-style heater disc in the center. The larger massaging fingers on either side of the heating disc also heat up when the heat function is activated. The massager “fingers” heat up to 100.4°F, and the disc heats up to 109.4°F.
You’ll also notice the straps that are attached to the sides. To use the Bob and Brad iNeck Pro, you place the massager behind your neck with the straps over the front of your shoulders. Your hands grab the straps to hold the massager in place. You can then press and hold the power button to start the 10-minute massage session. If you short press the power button, you can switch between constant speed mode massage and a rhythmic mode massage.
There’s a button to toggle the heater function and a button to switch between two intensity settings, which are actually just slow and fast speed settings for the massaging “fingers”.

Using the Bob and Brad iNeck Pro is easy, and it does provide an intense kneading action. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, I don’t typically like it when someone tries to give me a massage because my muscles are sensitive (probably because I’m always so tense). I think I became more tense while using the iNeck Pro.
However, my wife Jeanne loves massages, and she also has chronic neck and back pain, so I thought she’d be a better person (guinea pig) to test it. According to her, she couldn’t feel any/much heat. She preferred the constant speed mode over the random massage mode. She said that the iNeck Pro doesn’t dig into all of her trouble spots, but it does feel good, and that she would/will definitely use it again.
Final thoughts
After spending some time with the Bob and Brad iNeck Pro neck massager, I think it’s a solid option for anyone who wants a simple, hands-free neck massage at home. It’s easy to use, quiet, and cordless so that you can relax anywhere, no need to find a plug or ask someone else for a neck rub. Plus, the 2-year warranty is a reassuring touch.
The main downside is that the heat function just isn’t strong enough to add much comfort. If you’re hoping for a hot, soothing massage, this device may not meet your expectations. However, if you primarily want a kneading massage to alleviate daily tension and kinks, it does a good job of that.
