Design and features
This OHWILL SC05 recliner is kind of cool in how easily it swivels and turns around. It’s like a combination of several different types of chair all in one. It swivels, it glides, and it reclines. It’s a smaller chair than most recliners you may be familiar with, but that is actually a definite selling point for me. The base of the chair is a metal ring that it uses to swivel on. Just a heads up, if you’re looking for the instructions, they’re hidden up underneath the chair.
Assembly
First course of action in assembling the chair after taking off all the packing material is to place the back of the chair. It just slides over the two posts you can see in the picture below with the white insulation still on.
Metal posts unwrapped.
The upper piece locks in place and can be removed by lifting the tab if you need to.
The sides each slot into place as you can see below. Please note which side is left and right before you try placing.
This is a pressure fitting, so it doesn’t lock into place like the back did. A firm tug can pull them off if needed.
The back flap bridging the two pieces is held in place by Velcro, which just requires stretching it taut. This is handy in that if anything falls between the cracks, you can more easily retrieve it.
Performance
This chair swivels, glides, and reclines very well. Since it’s not a large chair, it’s not very difficult to get out of. That said, if you are a tall/large person it might not be as comfortable to sit in, but for us it works quite well.
Final thoughts
I really like the OHWILL chair. It’s not an oversized plush monster of a chair like most other recliners and it fits in its space very well. My kids love it and it’s my youngest child’s favorite spot to read now. I would definitely get another one if I needed it. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a versatile recliner that doesn’t have much space.
