NEWS – It’s been almost two years since I reviewed the Screwpop Toolkey, and now Screwpop is back with an updated version of this keychain-sized multi-to0l. The Toolkey II is a TSA-compliant heat-treated 420 stainless steel tool that packs in 17 different functions into a key-sized tool that will fit on your keychain. Let’s list out all the features:
- Magnetic Phillips / flathead screwdriver
- Bottle opener
- Fine and rough files
- English and Metric rulers
- Semi-serrated blade
- Bike spoke key
- Box scoring tip
- Tag buster
- Rigging screwdriver
- Protractor
- Prybar
- 1/4″ bit driver
- Wire stripper
- O2 wrench
- Lotto card scratcher
- Ferrous tester
- Rod bender
One of the features that stands out to me is that the screwdriver tip is magnetized with a rare earth magnet. I believe that this is a first for such a small multi-tool.
There is also a feature that concerns me just like it did with the original Screwpop Toolkey – the serrated knife. The blade is exposed, making it easy to scratch or cut your finger when grabbing for the tool. I do wish that there was a removable cover for the blade. Other than that caveat, I think the Screwpop Toolkey II looks like an interesting minimalist multi-tool, and at only $19.99, it’s not going to make your wallet weep. Want one?
