REVIEW – As a laptop user for probably 15 years now, I have accepted the fact that I live with screens that are much smaller than those big beautiful monitors on desktop computers. I love the portability too much to give up my laptop. So several years ago I tried a laptop screen extender from Sidetrak, and loved it. In fact, I loved it so much that I tried the QQH triple screen extender back in April of this year to give me another screen to use. I absolutely love having 3 screens now when I work on my laptop. I mean, it’s a game changer for productivity. Pretty much the only downside of the QQH was that it didn’t come with any kind of carrying case/bag, so I had to find an old cloth drawstring bag I wasn’t using anymore to hold everything. Plus, the QQH has to sit on the desk to work instead of attaching to your laptop, and it does not expand outward in the middle to accommodate larger laptop screens. Not a huge deal for me though because my laptop fits nicely with the QQH. But the KEFEYA S2 Triple Laptop Screen Extender looked like it might solve both of those issues for me. So I tried it out. Let’s find out what happened!

Design and features
The KEFEYA S2 Triple Laptop Screen Extender screens are 14 inches, at 1920×1080 resolution. The brightness and clarity of the screens is very good, and I never had to strain to see anything on the screens. The KEFEYA S2 comes in the box folded up, with both screens folding inward (toward the middle) on top of each other. Once it is folded, it slides nicely into the included carrying bag with handles, so it is super easy to carry with you. There is also a pouch on the outside of the bag that can hold all your cables.
As you can see from the pictures below, once you open the screens up, the middle section has springs that allow it to be pulled apart so that you can attach it to your laptop screen. There is also a little flap that opens up at the top of the middle section that attaches to the top of your laptop screen. It’s really snug once you put it in place, and you’ll have no fear of it falling off. It can even handle a laptop screen that is 17.3 inches.
On the back of the unit there is a nifty little kickstand that pulls out from the unit and can be adjusted to whatever length you prefer. So it could actually stand up by itself if you didn’t want to connect it to your laptop screen. The kickstand also ensures that there won’t be too much weight hanging off your laptop screen.
On the back of each monitor you’ll find 3 USB-C connections. This is where you’ll use the included 6 cables to connect it to your laptop. There are many different configurations that can be used that I won’t recreate here because the users manual that comes with it is very easy to understand and figure out for your computer type. On top of each monitor your screen a multi-function wheel button that enables you to adjust the monitor settings such as brightness, etc.
Assembly, Installation, Setup
Inside the box, you’ll find great users manual and an installation card that details all the various configurations for the KEFEYA to connect to, including both Windows computers and Macs. The ideal situation is for your laptop to have 2 “full-featured” USB-C ports, or a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port. What does full-featured mean? Well, the manual details the symbols that you can look for on your laptop to determine if the USB-C ports will work. Here are the symbols to look for:
My laptop has one full featured USB-C port, a USB-A port, and an HDMI port. So I followed the instructions for connecting the cables and it just worked. No driver was required, so it was plug and play! I will also mention that the instructions tell you very specifically which order to plug the cables in. If you don’t follow those instructions carefully, it won’t work. I purposefully didn’t follow the order in which it said to follow, and sure enough it wouldn’t work. So read the instructions carefully. You can even use the KEFEYA S2 if you don’t have a USB-C port, although you will need a USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI output adapter/docking station or hub with MST.
Finally, when you close the KEFEYA S2 up, it is pretty thick. Much thicker than my laptop, as you can see below. My laptop is on the bottom.
What I like about the KEFEYA S2 triple screen extender
- Very good clarity and brightness
- Carrying case is a great addition
- Many options for connecting to various types of computers
What needs to be improved?
- I honestly can’t think of anything.
Final thoughts
The KEFEYA S2 is a wonderful addition to your carry gear if you spend a lot of time on your laptop and need the extra screen real estate to boost your productivity. The price is really good compared to other products in the market, and the quality of the screens will please you as well. The carrying bag is the icing on the cake, making it really easy to keep everything together, and it slides nicely into your backpack.
