NEWS – I reviewed Nomad’s Base Station Apple Watch Edition back in 2019. I like it so much that it still occupies space on my nightstand. Since then, Nomad has tweaked the design a couple of times. Recently they dropped their newest edition, the Base One Max. The redesign takes advantage of Apple’s MFi MagSafe charging. And the design has a new elegant look with a weighted metal body and an elevated glass panel. Base One Max has a MagSafe charging puck, and the integrated Apple Watch charger features a protective soft touch charging base.
The charger weighs in at 2lbs. So it stays anchored to the surface when you are ready to grab your device and go. And the MagSafe charging puck is elevated, allowing for easy pickup of your device. The Base One Max offers wireless charging speeds of up to 15W. But be aware that the recommended 30W USB-C Adapter is not included. The Base One Max MagSafe charger is available in Carbide or Silver finishes. And it is available now for $149.95 from Nomadgoods.com.
