NEWS – The list of Home Automation products is growing, and smart locks are popular amongst them. But most if not all of them require you to replace your existing deadbolt and usually have a touch or keypad. The Level Lock is billed as the world’s first invisible smart lock. It’s designed to install inside your door and transform your existing deadbolt into a smart lock. The lock uses a unique puzzle piece interface to ensure a secure fit in your door.
It’s powered by a single CR2 battery (providing over a year’s worth of battery life) that’s cleverly hidden inside the locks bolt to make the occasional battery change simple.
Level Lock can be controlled using your phone, or you can set it to lock and unlock your door automatically. An audible chime confirms when your door is locked or unlocked. And if need be, you can use your existing keys.
The Level Lock app allows you to send invitations to share access with friends and family based on specified time and day. Or you can use the Party Pass feature to send a group invitation via email. The app will even keep track of who’s coming and going.
Level Lock is Home Kit compatible, so you can use your iOS device and Siri to operate it with your voice.
Level Lock won’t be available until January 2020, but you can get on an email reserve list. The reserve list ensures you’ll be one of the first to get one for a special reserve price of $199. After January 2020, the price climbs to $249.

I really like this Idea, But they have no tech specs listed. I’m afraid it’s going to be yet another proprietary cloud only technology that requires 24/7 internet to work, or update. And will be a paper weight the day the company decides to end it’s service. I want something that is fully Zwave, or Zigbee compliant. Requires Zero cloud systems. And will work as long as I keep a Zwave or Zigbee local in house system. I am very interested in this product IF they provide more info, on a tech side. It’s a sexy design tho. I hope it’s somthing I’ll be interested in.
Usually devices that support HomeKit can be used directly with HomeKit without needing to use the manufacturer’s cloud. You would be using Apple’s cloud though, but that’s not going away anytime soon.
