adobe touch for tabletsAdobe has announced its Photoshop Touch suite of photo editing apps for tablets.  You’ll be able to use images from a variety of sources, including the online picture sites and your on-board camera.  You can combine photos with layers, even using your on-board camera to fill in a layer as you work.  You’ll be able to add filters and effects, and adjust the color and tone.  In addition to standard selection tools, Photoshop Touch makes it easy to use your fingers as a selection tool.  You “scribble” part of the image you want to keep, then scribble on the part you want to remove, and Adobe Photoshop does the rest.  You’ll have the functionality you expect from Photoshop on your computer in your hands.  The Photoshop Touch app will be available soon for Android tablets for $9.99; the iOS version is planned for later release.  You can sign up at the Photoshop Touch link to be notified when they are available.  You can also find information about the other applications in the suite at that link:  Collage for creating photo collages; Debut presentation tool; Ideas drawing tool; Proto prototyping tool; and Kuler which lets you design color themes.
