REVIEW – The Yeedi S14 Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop does it all: vacuums, mops, empties its own dustbin and dirty water, and cleans and dries the mop pad. For about $1,000, in a very busy household with two dogs and teenagers, I started this review with very high expectations for this robovac. Let’s see how it measured up to the job.

Setup
Setting up the Yeedi S14 Plus robotvac only took a few minutes, though we ran into a couple small hiccups.
First, you remove the packaging, plug it in, and turn on the switch on the back of the base.
You also need to switch the power on the vacuum itself, located on the underside of the vacuum.
You lift up the clean water tank and fill it up.
It’s a bit difficult to see the fill line, so you may have to look at it from a different angle to catch the light just right to see the line. Then you click the top back on the water tank and pop the tank back into place. (You do the reverse to empty the dirty water tank, just pop open the lid and pour the water out — I also like to give it a little rinse to get rid of any dirt collected at the bottom.)
For the station setup, you also need to click the bottom tray into place.
Finally, you will also click the small, spinning brush into place on the bottom side the vacuum — I nearly missed this! Look carefully in the packaging because my brush was wedged on the underside of packing carton, and I didn’t find it until I was breaking down the box for recycling.
My other hiccup with the setup came when I first tried running the vacuum. I was careful to position the base away from the wall, with clearance on either side. However, the vacuum could not locate the base.
After several attempts, I manually put the vacuum back into place, turned the power off and back on, and waited for it to fully charge (about 4 hours). After that, it’s worked fine, and I haven’t had that issue again.
App and controls
The final step to getting this vacuum fully operational is to download the app.
I found the app intuitive and easy to use. It quickly located and connected to the vacuum.
It was easy to map, label and edit the maps. It also offered a lot of different settings to play with and adjust.
Performance
My favorite part about this robovac is the many useful settings, accessible via the app. For example, there are three levels of cleaning.
A standard clean is your fastest option. For my 64-square-foot kitchen, it took just 7 minutes for a standard clean.
For a medium-level clean, it took 10 minutes, and you can see the difference in the vacuum path.
For an advanced clean, it took 12 minutes for the same space.
These options are really helpful because sometimes you just need a quick clean-up, or that’s all you have time for, when other times you can opt for the advanced clean.
In addition, there are four levels of vacuum suction and four levels of mopping wetness.
You can opt to vacuum only, vacuum and mop at the same time, or vacuum and then mop.
Plus, you can select if you want the robovac to do one or two passes.
In addition to the different settings, I like the design of the Yeedi S14 Plus vacuum. I’ve tested nearly a dozen vacuums and this is the only one with the roller brush design.
The roller is retractable and does a thorough job of cleaning, especially corners and tight spaces.
Speaking of tight spaces, it does occasionally get stuck — which is typical of most robovacs we’ve tested.
It scared me for a minute when it alerted us to a water tank “malfunction.”
However, upon further inspection, we realized this is just how the vacuum notifies you that it needs the dirty water emptied out. If you get this notification, no need for panic!
Final thoughts
The Yeedi S14 Plus is a great mop/vacuum combination with many options and great cleaning results.
