Last week I posted a review of the Invisible Gamepad Kickstarter project, which are easy to use stick-on gamepads for smartphones and tablets. I found that the Invisible Gamepad worked better than other stick-on joysticks that I’ve tried in the past (see related reviews at the bottom of this post), but it still lacked a traditional joystick feel that can only be achieved with a physical controller. Now I’ve found another potential joystick alternative to try. It’s the Brick Joystick from Grayhaus. The Brick Joystick comes in two flavors. One that attaches to the screen with a suction cup and another version which uses a silicon band so you can move it around on the screen if the game has movable virtual controls. This controller is pretty pricey at $24.99, but I went ahead and placed an order so I can do a quick review. It looks like it obstructs a good portion of the display, so I’m not sure how useful it will be. Stay tuned for the review. The Brick Joystick is available through Amazon.

2-5 dollars in chineese online shops.
@Dmitriy Why do I always forget to look on Tmart and DealExtreme. Darnit!
@Julie – AliExpress.com will beat them all. It’s huge tradeplace – some sort of chineese amazon. It is the part of alibaba – worlds largest electronic wholesale tradeplace (where most “brandname” gadgets were born).
@Dmitriy Thanks for the tip! I’ve book marked it for future reference. I’m tempted to order the joystick from them just to see if it’s the exact same one.
Choose product and seller wisely there, because of thousands modifications and shipping terms.
I finally got around to trying this joystick out tonight and I have 3 words for you save-your-money. It’s the worst joystick I’ve ever tried so far. The suction cup version won’t stay stuck very long and the band version slides around all over the place. Oh well…
