NEWS – I’ve been hearing murmurs and rumors about a new Bambu Labs printer coming out soon the last few months, so imagine my surprise when they announced not one, but TWO new models today! The H2S is very similar to their excellent H2D printer they released earlier this year (I have a pair of H2Ds in my print farm for my Amazon store, and they’re both working like new at 2000+ print hours) while the new H2S rocks a single nozzle and a lower price. You still get the option to add a laser cutter (and other tools), and it can be bought as a combo with the AMS2 (multi material system) or you can opt to print single color at a lower price. We should be getting the Bambu Labs H2S printer to review soon, so watch here for that in the future!
I’m even more excited about Bambu Lab’s answer to the Prusa XL multi-head printer and the upcoming Snapmaker U1 (both of which use tool changing systems to achieve multi-color prints without the need to purge between colors – saving both time and materials). Bambu Lab’s H2S was leaked before the announcement today, but the tool-changing printer (the H2C) was a surprise announcement to me. The new Vortek system not only looks like a very sleek and smart way of doing multi-color printing but can even be retrofitted to H2S and H2D printers when released later this year (it will be preinstalled on the H2C printer coming out late this year as well). Fingers crossed that they send one of these for us to review as well!
Price: $1249+ (1499 for the AMS2 combo version)
