REVIEW β In my quest to make the iPad into a laptop (and desktop replacement), I have been on the look out interesting accessories that can help me with this task. When the people at Benks offered to send me their Infinity Pro Magnetic iPad Stand, I didnβt hesitate to accept the offer. Letβs take a look!
What is it?
The Benks Infinity Pro Magnetic iPad Stand is an aluminum stand that has been designed especially for the iPad Air 4/5, iPad Pro 11, and 12.9 inch models from 2018 and up. No special case needed!

Design and features
The Benks Infinity Pro Magnetic iPad Stand features a weighted base with a rubber non-skid pad.
The large back plate of the stand is magnetic and firmly holds the iPad in place. It also has a rubber pad to protect your iPad from scratches. The plate is sized so that the iPadβs camera rests above the edge and can still be used even while the tablet is attached to the stand.
The Infinity Pro iPad Stand has two hinges that allow for almost infinite customization of the viewing angle. Hey, I just figured out why they named it the Infinity Pro!
Thereβs a hinge at the base, and another at the magnetic plate. Iβm not sure why you would want to use the iPad in the angle that I have in the image above, but hey, you can if you like, I wonβt judge.
The hinges feel very strong and stiff so I donβt worry that they will loosen over time.
The magnetic plate can also rotate 360 degrees for even more customization of the iPadβs screen orientation from landscape to portrait.
Even nicer is the fact that the Benks Infinity Pro stand is heavy enough that you can rotate the iPad without the need to hold the standβs base. You will need to hold the base to adjust the angle of the arm though.
The Benks Infinity Pro Magnetic iPad Standβs space grey finish blends in well with my setup. But wait, thereβs more! Check out what else it can do in the 45-second video below.
See it in action
How cool is that? I also love the sound it makes too!
What I like
- Well made stand
- Foldable, screen angle, and orientation adjustments
What Iβd change
- Make the base even heavier for 100% hands-free adjustments
Final thoughts
The Benks Infinity Pro Magnetic iPad Stand looks and feels like it was designed by Apple. If youβve been searching for the ultimate stand for your iPad (as long as your iPad is compatible β see above), then I think that this is the one you want to take a hard look at.

I must be missing something. Doesnβt the iPad need to be in a mag eze case to work with stand?
Steven, nope, not at all! If you have the version of an iPad Air 4/5, iPad Pro 11, or 12.9 inch model from 2018 and up it works without any special case or stickers! That’s why I really like it!
Would this work with a pitaka mageze iPad ultra thin case or would the magnetic pull be too strong, do think?
I have the Pitaka MagEZ case 2 for my iPad Pro and yes, it works just fine with the Benks stand.
