REVIEW – Fidget spinners and similar toys refuse to go away and I’m happy about that because they are fun! The Blue Orange Games Loopy Looper is a marble spinning toy that can keep your kids (and you) occupied for hours as you learn to spin and do tricks with them. Let’s take them for a whirl.

What is it?

Loopy Loopers are handheld toys that are shaped like a donut with a track inside where you can spin a marble. There are 4 different styles that allow for different tricks.

What’s in the box?

  • Loopy Looper
  • 2 Marbles
  • Display stand

Design and features

There are 4 different Loopy Looper toys. The one above is the Flow Looper which I found the easiest of all the Loopers.

Each Loopy Looper is made of plastic and comes with a display stand and 2 marbles.

The steel marbles have a soft plastic covering which reduces the spinning noise to almost nothing as well as helps to keep the marble from rolling away when you inevitably drop it on the floor.

Here’s the Hoop Looper which features a “basket” at the bottom of the track. You can spin the marble around the track and then try to make a basket.

The Jump Looper has a gap in the track. The idea is to jump the marble from one side of the gap to the other. I really sucked at this one…

Last but not least is the Edge Looper. This one is similar to the Flow Looper, but the track is much narrower, so it takes more practice to keep it from flying out of the track and across the room.

What I like

  • Simple fun
  • Quiet
  • Comes with 2 marbles

What I’d change

  • Nothing

Final thoughts

As a skill toy, the Loop Loopers are fun because they aren’t just mindless fidget spinners. They actually take a little bit of practice to use them. For that reason, some of the Loopers might be more frustrating than others. I suggest that you buy the Flow first and then the Hoop, followed by the Jump and Edge. These toys are great for kids because they can help to develop hand-eye coordination and rhythm. They are also great for adults as desk toys that can help with focus without causing co-workers to become annoyed.
