NEWS – Back in January 2020, I reviewed the CIGA Design Z-Series Mechanical Titanium Watch and simply loved the build quality, design, function, and sleek and classy look. I was impressed enough that despite my collection of watches, I found myself choosing this watch as a regular option. The fact that it is a mechanical automatic watch fits into my preference and mirrors the other watches that I collect with my smartwatches being the only exception.
Last week, I was surprised by CIGA when they sent me their CIGA Design Z-Series Mechanical Titanium Watch on steroids.
This version of the watch is called the Z Series DLC which stands for Diamond-Like Carbon. The upgrades include a protective carbon layer that features the same scratch-resistant quality as diamond DLC coatings that are used in the industry to prolong the life of surfaces that are prone to abrasion. There is also a 2-um thickness coating that can change the lifetime of steel.
The sapphire crystal and the black carbon coating make this simply one beautiful watch. You can head over to the CIGA Design official online store to get more information and/or to order one for $268 US. Shipping is expected to start in about 2 weeks, July 2020.
