Line Dock: Thinnest and Smartest Laptop Power Bank

What is it?
The Line Dock is a large portable backup battery for laptops that integrates SSD storage, a USB-C hub, thermoelectric active cooling and wireless charging.

Why do I like it?
I like this backup battery because it’s not only useful for keeping your laptop juiced with up to 15 hours of extra power while you’re on the go, but it can also be used to charge other gadgets including devices that can be charged wirelessly if they are Qi capable.

With 11 days left in their campaign, The Line Dock campaign has already met their funding goal of $50,000. You can pre-order a Line Dock starting at $149. After the Line Dock campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in June 2017. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.

Futur Wallet

What is it?
Futur Wallets are unibody RFID blocking minimalist wallets that have been designed by a junior engineering student who is attending the Stevens Institute. The wallets include models made from carbon fiber, aluminum, black walnut and carbonized bamboo.

Why do I like it?
First of all, it’s a minimalist wallet which I now prefer. Second, it’s RFID blocking and lastly, Futur wallets are available in wood versions that combine modern tech with nature, which is more unique that typical all metal or plastic minimalists wallets that seem to be flooding the market these days.

With 55 days left in their campaign, The Futur Wallets campaign still has some work to do before reaching their funding goal of $8000. You can pre-order a Futur Wallets starting at $45. After the Futur Wallets campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in July 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

Gr5 Titanium Little Pinch More

What is it?
The Gr5 Titanium Little Pinch More is a tiny multi-tool that includes tweezers, fingernail file, clippers, electrical wire cutter, wire stripper, philips and flat screw drivers, two size leavers, knife, scissors, bottle and can opener and even a wrench.

Why do I like it?
What appeals most to me is the size. I just love tiny tools… especially tiny multi-tools. I currently carry a Leatherman Squirt multi-tool, which looks huge compared to the Little Pinch. It remains to be seen if something this small is practical, but I’d love to have one for my EDC collection all the same.

Where can I find more info?
With 25 days left in their campaign, The Gr5 Titanium Little Pinch More campaign still has some work to do before reaching their funding goal of $1000. You can pre-order a Gr5 Titanium Little Pinch More starting at $60. After the Gr5 Titanium Little Pinch More campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in July 2017. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.

THE MUNCHER – Titanium Multi Utensil

What is it?
THE MUNCHER is a titanium 10-in-1 camping multi-tool that includes a spork, knife, peeler, bottle opener, fire flint, can opener, pry bar, box cutter, cord cutter, and flat head screw driver.

Why do I like it?
I have a weird fascination with sporks. Don’t judge me! 😉 As a spork, the MUNCHER looks awesome. But then it’s so much more than a spork. If I camped, I’d have to have one of them.

Where can I find more info?
With 45 days left in their campaign, The MUNCHER campaign is still working towards their funding goal of $15,000. You can pre-order a MUNCHER starting at $30. After the MUNCHER campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in April 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

Insta360 Air 360 VR Clip On Camera for Smartphone

What is it?
The Insta360 Air 360 VR Clip On Camera is a camera that has been designed exclusively for Android devices that captures 360-degree 3K stills and 2K video and can upload instantly to Facebook and Twitter, or live stream straight to YouTube.

Why do I like it?
I am a sucker for photography gadgets that can be used with my primary camera which is my phone. My Nexus 6P has a really good camera, but it can’t do the cool 360 degree panoramas shown in the video promo for the Insta360. This probably wouldn’t be an accessory that I’d use very often, but I’d still like to have one in my gear bag for just the right moment.

Where can I find more info?
With a month left in their campaign, Insta360 Air 360 VR Clip On Camera campaign has already passed their funding goal of $20,000. You can pre-order a Insta360 Air 360 VR Clip On Camera starting at $199. After the Insta360 Air 360 VR Clip On Camera campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in March 2017. Visit their Indiegogo page for all the details.

  1. Gadgeteer Comment Policy - Please read before commenting
  2. Nice collection of crowd funded camping gear products. Some quite unique and successful ones such as Go Outfitters Hammocks, Emberlit stove and Laundreez wash bag feature in Amazon Launchpad program as well.
