Each week I spend a few minutes sifting through my inbox to choose three Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign pitches that look interesting to me. This week’s projects are for products that you hold in your hand. Click through to see this week’s notable Kickstarter projects.
BLIPS
What is it?
BLIPS are tiny macro and micro lenses for smartphones and tablets that can fit in your wallet. They don’t require a special case, magnets or springs like other add-on lenses.
Why do I like it?
I like that the lenses are so small and thin that it is possible to carry them in your wallet or keep them stuck to the back of your phone when you’re not using them to take close up photos. I just wish they also offered a telephoto lens this small!

The BLIPS campaign has already surpassed their funding goal of $17,096 with 38 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order a set of lenses for $23, with shipping estimated for September 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
ORBIT pen
What is it?
It’s a stylish anodized pen that can be used with over 60 different ink refills.
Why do I like it?
The ORBIT pen is made by Tronnovate, a company that I’m familiar with after having reviewed their Takumi Pure+ pen late last year. This pen is smiliar because it can be customized to allow for large variety of different ink refills. There are two sizes of the ORBIT. The ORBIT Alpha is longer and is designed to be compatible with most popular refills, while the ORBIT Beta is shorter to fit high-end refills such as Mont Blanc, Parker, Lamy, etc. I also like the capless design and the knurled end that rotates to extend the writing tip.

The ORBIT campaign has already passed their $5000 funding goal with 28 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order a pen for $52 – $54 depending on the which length you want. Shipping is estimated for August 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
Keydisk Mini
What is it?
KeyDisk Mini is a minimalist alternative to the traditional keyring that holds two or more keys between two aluminum plates.
Why do I like it?
I’m a sucker for gadgets and accessories that can lighten and organize my EDC. Keydisk is a nice compact keyholder that keeps your keys from rattling and fits easily in a pocket. It can hold as few as two keys and even more by using specially designed spacers.

The Keydisk campaign has already passed their $5000 funding goal with 52 days left in the campaign. You can pre-order a Keydisk for $12 (early bird deal). Shipping is estimated for November – December 2016. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
