For the first time in quite a while, Apple is offering a phone dock. The white plastic iPhone Lightning Dock works with iPhone 5 and newer and with iPod touch 5th generation. It’s even compatible with all Apple cases for these devices. You’ll need to use the Lightning cable that came with your iPhone or iPod with the dock, and you can connect it to your computer to sync and charge your device, or connect it to a power adapter to just charge. The Dock has a 3.5mm audio jack, so you can connect the docked iPhone or iPod to powered speakers. You can even make speakerphone calls from your iPhone while it’s in the Lightning Dock.
The iPhone Lightning Dock is $39 from Apple.

This is a needed product.
Unfortunately it is listed as shipping in 1-3 business days. And none of the NY Manhattan stores have it in stock as of 5/20/15. Only the Garden State Plaza store.
Why is the Garden State Plaza mall more important than Manhattan?
“Why is the Garden State Plaza mall more important than Manhattan?”
Too many bridges and tunnels to get product to the stores.
I’ve had a Belkin dock for some time ($22 on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Charge-Lightning-Connector-Silver/dp/B00AYNRLFA) – it doesn’t have an audio out but I don’t need it.
