This universal phone stand has a business card holder/reader built in so the card’s info can be easily read in and added to your contacts database. Put the business card on the card holder and use the WorldCard app to photograph the card and import its information. The app synchronizes with Gmail’s contacts, so you can manage your contacts on your iPhone (including iPhone 6 and 6 Plus), Android phone, Windows PC, or Mac computer and store them in Dropbox and iCloud. The WorldCard Mobile Phone Kit business card reader and phone stand is available for $59.95 from PenPower. You can download the WorldCard Mobile app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store.

Can it scan a business card without the stand? This would be great on business trips.
Feed it 100 different business cards. How many will it get correct? My guess is “not many.”
I don’t know, Sandee. It’s taking a picture of the card, but the software may be looking for that strip of metal that the card stands on in the image to know where to start scanning for info.
Hi Sandee, it can be used without the stand. works just fine.
Just downloaded the app that works with the stand. And tested it on two very highly graphic styled cards. One with all sorts of colored text and the other with text on a wood-looking background.
The app works very well. It got part of the text that I didn’t think it would do.
I will most likely buy the full version for $1.
However, I also see how the stand could help the app work much better. But since I don’t get a lot of business cards, I’ll just stick with the app, alone.
But I’m very pleased with their app.
