I’ve tried Apple’s Cards app, and I liked the quality and the convenience of sending cards with that app. Some people may find those cards too impersonal, because you can’t even add a handwritten signature line. I think nowadays many people wouldn’t mind getting a card that was created on a computer and automatically mailed out without the sender even licking a stamp. If you’d prefer a slightly more personal touch with the convenience of having a card printed and mailed for you, you might like the Felt app for iPad. This app lets you choose a pre-designed front for the card, but the interior is all “handwritten” by you. You enter text by writing, with your finger or stylus, anything you’d like for the inside of the card. Felt will then “professionally print your handwriting on premium Mohawk card stock, seal it in a kraft paper envelope, add the stamp and pop it in the mail.” Sending a card costs $3.99, including the postage.
