Gadgeteer Fair Dinkum Aussie Giveaway

And the lucky digger who wins this chook raffle is……….randomizer please……….. Spanky !

Congrats mate, email on it’s way !

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions all, lets see what we can do about them 🙂

So many of the competitions here on The Gadgeteer are for US residents only, so it’s time for a fair dinkum Aussie giveaway. It’s not going to be as big as a US one as I don’t have a big stash of goodies like Da Boss does, but a giveaway’s a giveaway (I hope 🙂 ).

Up for grabs is the Just Mobile Gum I reviewed.  It’s only been used for the review so it’s been conditioned and only used a few times for the review. Capable of charging your mobile phone, MP3 player or other 5V 1A device, it’s a great little emergency battery.

The Gum is valued at $49.95 and was originally supplied by Just Mobile.

How do you enter? Read on after the break.

Since joining the Gadgeteer I’ve been trying to add as much Australian-relevant content as I can, so what I’m after is what items Aussie Gadgeteers would like to see reviewed here.  It’d be great if they were Aussie products but  it’s hard to find them these days, believe me, I know.

How to enter (read carefully, if you don’t follow the instructions, your entry will be disqualified):

1. Between now and October 14, 2012  leave a comment to this post answering this question:

As an Aussie Gadgeteer, what product would you like to see reviewed here on The Gadgeteer?

2. At some point on October 15, 2012, 1 random winner will be chosen. The winner will be contacted via email and will have 48 hrs to accept their prize. If I do not receive an answer within that time frame, I’ll do other drawings till the prize is claimed.

1. Only one entry per person.

2. Contest is not open to anyone affiliated with The Gadgeteer.

3. Winner must have an Australian shipping address

4. is not responsible for any lost packages or incorrect shipping addresses.

    Ooops…typo – sorry!

Nice idea. It’s always good to see local reviews of the big US tech items, just to get an idea of how they function in Australia with the many various area restrictions (eg. Amazon, Google, Barnes & Nobles, etc hardware & related services)

    Very nice

I’d be interested in more Aussie developed products, that suit the traveller. I liked your review on the Scrubba, great idea, bought a few. Travelling big distances is part of life here in Oz, so things that make it easier are useful – longer battery, lighter gear, bigger bags – it all helps. As someone who spends about 100 days a year away from home, I regularly read this site for ideas to save me time, weight and hassle. Cheers

Would love to see more geek toys and bluetooth accessories reviewed!

YAY an Aussie contest. I would certainly like to see some more homegrown Aussie gadgets reviewed here. Nothing in particular as I read the gadgeteer everyday and quite often order stuff I like from O/S anyway.

Excellent ! I would like to see Australian located 3d printer makers or models reviewed (and compared to the US experts, such as MakerBot).

  • Brian October 3, 2012, 9:22 am

Would like to see review on medium-high end webcams.

  • Sharon Johnson October 4, 2012, 9:35 am

A mobile back up battery that will charge an Iphone 5.

Good to see someone interested in what aussies want for a change. Nice work. I would like to see tablets reviewed, not just the ipad. The idea of gps reviews works for me too.

Power at last… We cannot do without power when we are on the go.

    Great site!

I and my kids are tech geeks, that being said, kids can be a bit rough with gear. I would like to see great tech gear from a high use high durability angle. Not nessessarily dropped in the mud, but able to use outside on the go.

I would like to see the wifi capabilities of different tablets reviewed. I mean like how efficient is the Nexus 7 wifi compared to a laptop or netbook or other tablets

  • Ian Lim October 13, 2012, 8:46 pm

Only 12 more hours to go, I’m doing this on AEDST 🙂
