This is cool, but I’m not digging the business model. I pay a relatively high price for the app itself ($20 in the app store is pretty serious… only the heavyweights like Omni Group can get away with that), and then it basically becomes pay-per-use? No thanks.

I remember reading somewhere that Google, which has issued Google Translate for a number of platforms, is working on something like this that will allow two people speaking different languages to communicate via computer terminals, and it will be free.
