Did you know that March 7-13, 2010 is “Read an eBook week“? Since 2004, Read an eBook week has been registered in the Chase’s Calendar of Events. The purpose of the week is to “educate and inform the public about the pleasures and advantages of reading electronically. Authors, publishers, vendors, the media and readers world-wide are welcome to join in the effort.” To promote eBooks, authors and publishers are offering many free or discounted titles. Check out the web site for a list of participating eBook publishers. eBooks can be read on many devices – computers, iPhones and touches, other smartphones, dedicated readers – the list goes on. If you’ve never tried an eBook before, download a free one and give it a try. (via MobileRead.com)
