phone-slipperHere’s an interesting idea. It’s the Phone Slipper. It’s a silicone case for your iPhone or Blackberry 8300, 8310, 8320 or 8330, that will protect your phone, as well as act like a wallet. There’s a slot in the back where you can slide several credit cards and some cash. It seems to be a perfect solution for those times when you don’t want to carry both. The price is $19.95 and is available in any color that you want, as long as it’s Black.

I’d be worried that any stored credit cards’ magnetic stripes might get damaged.

Cards kept near phone can lose magnetic information. Hotel key cards crash immediately. FYI

I’ve always understood that it is a bad idea to put a mobile phone in close proximity to credit cards, as there is a risk of the card’s data being scrambled. This may have originated in the days before chipped cards, though, when a magnetic strip held the data. Anyone know if this is still a concern with today’s cards?

Now when someone swipes your phone they get a bonus.
